He was drawing amazingly complex machinery with meticulous attention to detail way before the development of CAD. Lawrie is not just an artist; he's a designer too. An example of his designs was the Enfield-powered Dreamliner.It was a weird mixture comprising an 8.2 litre turbocharged Cadillac engine in the rear, three seats abreast in the front, a central steering ... A greater contrast than that and the Bond Bug would be hard to imagine, but I know that half the number of wheels would ... It would have been more at home beneath a Bedford truck.
