Journal of a Deserter is the story of a soldier returning from Afghanistan suffering from PTSD, not receiving enough help from the medical system or the government he sets off on a voyage of self-healing into the bush of Western Quebec. One day he loads his Canoe and doesnat come into work, setting off on a journey that he hopes will change his life; overcoming addiction to medications and the symptoms of PTSD he has to interpret what the reasons for his nightmares are in order to do this.
