Minutes of the state executive board, proceedings of the Michigan state conferences, publications, reports, and scrapbooks; also papers concerning their genealogical work, record of activities during World War I and II; historical files for individual chapters of the Michigan D.A.R.; and photographs.The essay contests are the cornerstone of this committee. This year, 75 schools participated in the contest with 871 students in 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th graders writing essays on the subject: aquot;An Obituary for George Washington, 1732 - 1799.
